Sarina Gomez is the pen name of the SeeMyBaby editorial team. We use one byline so every guide follows the same standards, and we say plainly that it’s a pen name rather than inventing a person. There’s no medical degree or life story behind the name, and we don’t claim one.
What we write about
The guides are for expecting parents between the first scan and the birth:
- Ultrasounds: what 2D, 3D and 4D scans show, when to book, how to read the picture.
- Baby looks: eye color, hair, skin tone and who babies take after, explained with genetics sources.
- Boy or girl: when the sex can really be known, and what the studies say about heart rate, charts and old wives’ tales.
- Gender reveals and announcements: party ideas, cakes, balloons and safety.
- AI baby tools: what they can and can’t do, and how to judge an app’s privacy.
Our editorial standards
- Primary sources for health facts. Any statement about pregnancy or health links to ACOG, the NHS, MedlinePlus/NIH, the FDA, Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic or the peer-reviewed study itself. No source, no claim.
- No invented stories. No made-up patient stories, quotes, reviews or survey numbers.
- Honest about our own app. SeeMyBaby makes imagined portraits for fun. We never present it as a prediction or a medical tool, and we give other options, from your clinic to a 3D studio, their real strengths.
- Updated when facts change. When a source changes or a reader spots an error, we fix the article and change its “updated” date.
- Not medical advice. Health articles carry a note saying so. Your own care team always comes first.
Report an error
If something in a guide is wrong or out of date, tell us through Contact support in the SeeMyBaby app or the support form. Include the article’s link and what needs fixing, with a source if you have one. You can read more about the app on the about page or browse every guide on the blog.
